Ordered a Test My Pets hair sensitivity test? Your next steps are to read your digital instructions, register your details, and prepare and post your pet’s sample. Here is how the journey works, including when to expect your emailed results.
1. Find your confirmation and instructions
This is a downloadable submission process: no physical kit is dispatched. Use the email address you provided at checkout to find your confirmation and instructions. Follow the registration process using the unique code supplied with your purchase.
Keep your order reference and check that you are registering the correct pet and test level. If you cannot find the email, check your junk folder before contacting the Test My Pets help team. Have your order reference ready so the team can help identify your purchase.
2. Prepare and post your pet’s sample
Read the instructions supplied with your order before collecting the hair or fur. Follow their directions for the sample amount, packaging, registration and postal address. For more than one pet, keep each sample and its details separate.
Our sample preparation checklist helps you organise the practical checks before posting. Your order instructions remain the place to confirm the exact collection requirements.
3. Allow for postage, then processing
Once our testing team receives your sample, we will confirm its arrival by email. Results are emailed within 7 working days of sample receipt.
The processing period starts after receipt, rather than on the day you order or post the sample. Postal transit therefore comes before the processing window. Keep your postal receipt, if you have one, alongside your order confirmation.
4. Keep your report with your pet’s records
When your results arrive, check your pet’s details and read the accompanying explanation. Save the report somewhere you can find it again. If any wording or order detail is unclear, contact our customer care team for help.
If you have concerns about your pet’s health, seek veterinary advice rather than waiting for a report. The service does not replace veterinary diagnosis or care.
